Pregnancy problems – ‘pregnant feet’

If you are pregnant, then you will no doubt have discovered some of the downsides to pregnancy. As well as all of the more commonly reported issues – fatigue, difficulty in getting used to your new size, lack of sleep etc – you may also find a fair few more physiological problems, especially with your feet.

This is perfectly normal, and problems with feet can occur in a large number of pregnant women, hence the term ‘pregnant feet’. But whatever your individual problem is, if you need to deal with pregnant feet then you should not put it off.

Doctors can and will help you fight off pregnancy problems such as this, and it is nothing to be ashamed of in going to a professional for medical advice. After all, in the long run it is still your body and you need to look after it, while doing right by your future child.

But so long as you carry on observing basic personal safety, then you can be sure that you are doing the best for both you and your child. Do not become someone who focuses so much on their child that they forget to look after themselves – you are just as important. If you find that your pain and discomfort don’t seem to want to leave, maybe it’s something that you need to go see your general practitioner for as it could be something a bit more serious. Whatever the case, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
