Nicole's Lullaby
the time has come to dream
of fluffy clouds and rainbow fish
floating down a bright blue stream
Go to sleep, small lady
close your little eyes
and dream a dream of magic
flying across the skies
Go to sleep, small lady
drift away above
and know I'll be there when you wake
giving you all my love.
Goodnight Small Lady <3

Movie Review: "The Twilight Saga: New Moon"
Bella Swan isn't as strong a character as she was in the first movie; for being in love with someone, she certainly doesn't go out of her way to make him stay. When Jasper attacks Bella at her birthday party, Edward and his family decide to leave Forks. Upon this decision, Edward skips school to break into Bella's room to take everything that would ever remind her of him. I mean really, it's bad enough that you are bailing on her, but to take her memories is just low.
We see Bella completely docile for a few months, screaming every night from the nightmares that are brought on by the absence of her vampire ex. Enter Jacob, a sexy sixteen year old trapped in a twenty-five year old body. Having been in love with Bella for a while now, he decides that now is the time to make his move. Bad timing, because now he's a werewolf.
After Alice has a vision of Bella cliff diving, she automatically assumes Bella has killed herself, prompting her to pay Charlie a visit. Finding Bella alive, she now has to stop Edward from getting himself killed. But wait, didn't Edward leave Bella? Interesting...
The whole point of the movie is that Edward loves Bella so much that he would torture himself to live without her, just to keep her safe. Bella loves Edward so much, that she would string along another guy just to not have to be alone while patiently awaiting his return. It's not that this blogger hates Bella, it's just that I don't understand how you could love someone so much that you would let them leave in the first place.
The movie itself was pretty good, but like most of the people that watched it, I definitely hated the ending. I won't provide a spoiler, but for those who have seen it or at least read the books- you know what I'm talking about.
The Screaming of the Babies
One thing I have never had any patience for is the screaming of babies. With my own sisters who are quite a bit younger than I am, every time they would start crying or screaming, I would instinctively pick them up. Naturally, my mother hollered at me for this because she claimed it would spoil them.
Now I have a little girl, who to my surprise, never really cries unless she's tired or hungry. I am very lucky for that; however, only sometimes when I put her to bed she exercises her lungs and screams her little head off. I'd pace around her crib, pick her up, rock her and do whatever I could in hopes she would stop crying. There was nothing that would work, and so hours later she fell asleep in my arms and I could put her to bed.
One day, I was so frustrated I just put her in bed and left her there. Amazingly, she fell asleep within a half hour of screaming! It was then that I understood why my mother scolded me for picking up my sisters. Sometimes, you just have to let them cry. Bedtimes have definitely been easier! Thanks Mom.

A Story in Progress...
Early that morning, Jasper sat her down and explained the reason he'd been so distant. As it turned out, Jasper had fallen in love with Elaine Hartford, whose parents were extremely wealthy.

2012 - The End of the World?
Yes it seems that mother nature has definitely been pissed off by the human race, and while I do not find the events mentioned above amusing, I find it a little far-fetched to assume it's the end of the world as we know it. The talk about the year 2012 has only recently been brought up. People are running scared thinking the world is going to crumble to pieces in 2012, floods will cover the earth as it shatters to pieces, and other parts will burn up.
What I'm wondering is did anyone actually start panicking about this BEFORE the movie 2012 was released? No. All the ruckus is completely over a movie, just like it was when the movie "Day After Tomorrow" came out. If we look at the scientific aspect, the world's top scientists have said this day MAY come, but only in another billion years. Frankly, I won't be around to see this happen, so I don't see what all the panic is. Are the current events leading toward the end of the world? No. Are they because of the hole in the Ozone layer? Probably. However, until people start recycling more and working to reduce their carbon footprint, they really need to stop panicking about the end of the world--especially when they are the ones bringing it on. As for 2012? It's just a movie people! Move on with your wasteful lives.

Should You Tattoo a Logo?
One of the biggest problems that could arise when getting a tattoo of a logo on oneself is the fact that the love logo’s bearer could easily dwindle after a time. What happens if one’s favorite company ends up in a scandal that ends up differing completely with the consumer’s identity and values? When making such a decision about tattooing a logo on oneself, it is very important to keep the long term in mind, due to the cost and labor involved in removing a tattoo if the logo becomes something the consumer disagrees with. One should also do research on the name behind the logo beforehand, also, to make sure the consumer does not already disagree with the company’s values.
Tattooing a logo can be an excellent way to show off one’s love and appreciation for a brand, but that love and appreciation might be best served in a different, unique tattoo. If one believes tattoos to be an art form and therefore a personal expression, recycling an already used design may not be the best way to express one’s feelings. Incorporating a logo into the design, however, could serve the purpose of both being artistic and expressing love for the logo in question.

Movie Review: "Dear John" 2010
On break from an army contract, John rescues Savannah's beloved purse from the water and is immediately attracted to her. With Savannah returning to college in two weeks, and him returning to the army, they decide that a year apart isn't that bad. When a year turns to six years apart, their lives have gone in different directions. John continues to fight in the army, and Savannah gets married to someone else. At the end, it's a confusing moment when the audience is left to figure out if they get together or leave their past as a fond memory.
Needless to say, this movie was not what was expected. It was a romantic "chick flick" and made the audience cry several times, but the ending was incomplete and the beginning took way too long to get to a point. It's highly recommended for heartbroken women who need to find help with tears.
To Her
I couldn't bring myself to talk
But if you have a few moments of time
I'd like to take a little walk.
So much has happened since you left
all those years ago
so much you have missed
and boy i've missed you so.
I went and got married
you weren't there for that
I don't want you to feel bad,
cuz neither did my brother Matt.
And then I had a baby
and while I was under you said to me
after picking her up into your arms
"how beautiful is she?"
But you weren't really there
it was just a wonderful dream
but now I need you here
Things arent as good as they seem.
Lately i've been crying
and Im not quite sure why
i've been feeling really sad
patiently waiting to die.
Please don't get me wrong
I love my baby girl
She means everything to me
she's the prettiest in the world.
Yet its hard to do this alone
her daddy is hardly around
i know working is important
but it's burying me into the ground.
When I was pregnant they said they'd help me
my husband, family and friends,
But since she's come I have no one
to visit me in the end.
It's hard being a single mom
especially when you're married
I don't think anyone will know
until I'm dead and buried.
Oh how i've missed you so
your voice could always help me out
I never used to cry this much
never scream or shout.
Just when I lose all hope on life
I can feel that you're here
I know because it's at that time
I begin to shed the tears.
What am I supposed to do?
It's love I think I lack,
When my world is spiraling out of control
and only you can bring it back?
My thoughts are scaring even me
they're all morbid and sick
stay alive or just let go
Im lost at which to pick
If I died I'd have to leave
my little girl behind
And this is something I could never do
I'd have to be so blind.
She has my eye shape
a trait I got from you
and her eyes would have to be
the most beautiful shade of blue.
So in theory I haven't lost you
If she has the shape and color
I know now you must be in
the body of another.
This is why I must stay alive
for the sake of my child
I need to protect and love her
even when she becomes wild.
I see you in that child
and maybe that's why the tears
I finally have a part of you back
Finally.. after all these years.
Written for my grandmother, who passed away 4 years ago. RIP Gram
Product Review: Olay Foaming Face Wash
Having just had a baby, I had issues with my skin. I found I was having breakouts of pimples, blackheads and very oily skin, so for someone who has always had perfect skin, this was unacceptable. I tried several different products, and a few of them actually made me breakout more. There were a couple that worked, but the second I forgot to use it, I broke out again.
Olay has created a gem with this product, because one does not have to use it every day to get the full effect of it. It makes it easy with a newborn, as any mother knows one barely has any time to do anything when caring for a baby. It's quick, easy and simple to use, and is gentle enough to use while bathing the little one. Cleansing deep within one's pores, this product is sure to receive several thumbs up from anyone who uses it.

Book Review: "You've Been Warned"
Author: James Patterson
Date Published: September 2007
Book Type: Thriller / Drama
The warning may not have been clear, but for Kristin, she should have realized it when her dead father began talking to her. In Patterson’s You’ve Been Warned, the story focuses around a girl who lives her life through a lens. Photography is her passion, so she takes pictures of everything she sees. She has another passion as well; she is in love with a married man and together they are having an explicit affair.
It starts when she passes a hotel on her way to work and sees there has been quadruple murder. Naturally, she begins snapping photos of everything—the police, the onlookers and the four body bags being put into ambulances. To her surprise, she wakes up the next day to find that no one has any recollection of the murders even though her pictures are still very real. Can pictures lie?
She begins seeing strange things, such as a mysterious detective that seems to be stalking her. Her dead father tracks her down and speaks to her, and yes, he is still a ghost. Despite all the warnings and the fact that she is generally a very nice person, she continues to be a naughty girl when it comes to her hunger for Michael, a married man who convinces her he will leave his wife. Things become even more sinister when she lives specific days, only to wake up to find they haven’t actually happened.
This book is one of the most mind-numbing books that one could read. Comparable to movies like “23” or “The Butterfly Effect”, this book needs to be read a few times to actually understand what is going on. As it turned out, the murders that had taken place in the hotel were Kristin, Michael, his wife and a hired hit man. Kristin has gone to hell for her naughty deeds and is being forced to relive the same week over and over again for the rest of eternity—a fate worse than death.
